Follow these steps to activate messaging. Takes about 15 minutes.

Set Up Email (SendGrid)

Free: 100 emails/day

Create a SendGrid account
Go to signup.sendgrid.com and sign up with your email

Verify your sender identity
Go to Settings → Sender Authentication → Verify a Single Sender
Use daraghmcloughlin1982@gmail.com (you'll get a verification email)

Create an API Key
Go to Settings → API Keys → Create API Key
Name it "Old Head Plaster" and select "Full Access"
Copy the key immediately - you can only see it once!

Enter credentials above
Go to the Credentials tab and paste your API Key and verified email

Set Up SMS (Twilio)

~$0.01/text + $1.15/mo for number

Create a Twilio account
Go to twilio.com/try-twilio and sign up
You'll get $15 free trial credit

Get a phone number
In the Console, go to Phone Numbers → Manage → Buy a Number
Choose a local number (203 area code for CT)

Find your credentials
Go to Account → API Keys & Tokens
Copy your Account SID and Auth Token

Enter credentials above
Go to the Credentials tab and paste your Account SID, Auth Token, and phone number

You're all set!

Once credentials are saved, messages will send automatically.
